Next time you're in Las Vegas, try out a "classic" golf course – Painted Desert. The Painted Desert Golf Club was opened in the 1980s, but don't let that fool you. Even though it already has the reputation as an "old school" course, it's been very well kept and is just as modern as many of the new courses. You may not get the lavish waterfalls here, but the Painted Desert more than makes up for it in friendliness and price. The greens are well kept, the staff is very friendly, and the pro shop is organized and well stocked. Painted Desert is also priced very reasonable, especially if you are playing during the summer months.

Technically speaking, Painted Desert Golf Club is much more player friendly in regards to distance. It's also more forgiving compared to some of the more modern and challenging Las Vegas golf courses. In short, if you haven't been on the golf course for awhile, make Painted Desert Golf Club your first stop while in Vegas. It's a good way to kick off a golf trip before you hit the more difficult courses like Balli Hai and the Badlands.

They have been running specials, which is great if you're on a budget. Plus, this course as some great twilight scenery and you won't be bothered by construction noise or Strip traffic. 2. Many players enjoy the natural grass driving range. Give it a try. 3. It's fairly close to The Strip, whereas, you'll probably have, at least a half hour drive to the most publicized courses. 4. And since it's not highly advertised as an exclusive course, often last minute walk-ons are welcome.
